Wine will be a better, richer, and more creative industry when we open the aperture beyond the historically white vantage point.

Our new 501(c)(3) creates pathways to successful wine careers for Black professionals aspiring to work in the wine industry.

Fulton St. Fellowship funds top-tier wine education and provides the kind of access that anyone needs to thrive in the industry.

WINE EDUCATION

We provide 100% of tuition payments to top tier Wine Education. Professional wine programs that lead to sommelier certification are proven to jumpstart successful careers in wine. Our fellows will receive tuition coverage to New York State-accredited institutions that provide structured teaching, exposure to wines that are otherwise prohibitively expensive, robust alumni networks, and classmates to learn and grow with. Our first class of Fellows will be attending the Institute for Culinary Education.

INDUSTRY ACCESS

Professional contacts provide guidance, opportunities and exposure that can minimize systemic discrimination too often experienced by Black people in wine. Our fellows have access to a living rolodex of industry partners as well as invitations to portfolio tastings, seminars, special events and even trips that will help them grow their knowledge, expand their experience and build their own networks.
